Chardonnay December 29, 2014
2011 Evans & Tate Redbrook Chardonnay
Wine Rating

91
The Redbrook range from Evans & Tate represents some of the best wines produced each vintage, with the 2011 Chardonnay a well worked expression of the variety.

A light yellow with some green flecks in the glass, the nose shows barrel ferment and time in new oak with gun flint and nougat to go with lemon pith and nectarine.

The acid is mineral with an oyster shell savoury complexity alongside sour edged nectarine that balances out oak inputs and richer peach influences.

Give this one a few more years to come into it’s own.
