Review Detail
2010 Yabby Lake Single Vineyard Chardonnay
Wine Rating
93
A perennial favourite from Mornington, this wine rarely fails to impress. It consistently balances flinty minerality against flashes of sweet vanillin oak and richer stone fruits.
The 2010 is a structural wine with racy acidity binding fuller oak induced richness and nectarine fruit, there is a savoury sulphide aspect to the wine that gives depth and complexity. The finish has citrus and white peach that is influenced by spicy oak.
This wine will easily see another decade in the cellar.
