Review Detail
2013 Bay of Fires Chardonnay
Wine Rating
96
A light yellow in the glass, the nose starts with melon and peach before attractive wood smoke and flinty characters take over.
A citrus inspired acidity gives exceptional drive around which spicy oak and rich rounded stone fruits express themselves. A delightful zing of acidity and spicy oak frames the finish.
This wine is drinking well now in it’s youth, but will become something truly special in few years.
