Review Detail
2007 Daniel-Etienne Defaix Chablis Vielles Vignes
Wine Rating
90
This wine was tasted from half bottle, which may have aided it’s development, the wine is a golden yellow in colour. The nose is rich with toffee and bush honey to go with white nectarine.
The palate follows a similar path to the nose, with rich toffee characters, however there is good powdery acidity that stops the fuller components of the wine from taking over. The finish contrasts creamy aged characters and citrus acidity. The half bottles are drinking at their peak now.
