2008 Willow Creek Tulum Chardonnay
Wine Rating

94
A lightly golden yellow in the glass, in terms of development this wine is in a great place, it has maintained a flinty mineral line whilst impressive stone fruits and spice are delivered in spades.

The nose gives wood smoke and a touch of match stick to nectarine and white peach, wine maker derived complexity is evident on the palate with great depth and a touch of sulphide funk that gives mouth feel and a counterpoint to smokey oak and dense stone fruits.

The finish is attractive and laden with spice. Drinking well now, and over the next year or two.
