Review Detail
2003 Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard La Maltroie
Wine Rating
94
A mature golden yellow in colour, the nose gives honeyed brioche with white stone fruits.
The palate is layered and plush as you would expect given it’s age, however there is still nervy, grapefruit like acidity that keeps brioche laden white peach in balance. Wood spice frames the long finish.
This is a good Chassagne Montrachet that is in a drinking well now, and will plateau for a few years to come.
