Chardonnay October 19, 2015
2013 Yarraloch Stephanie’s Dream Chardonnay
Wine Rating

90
The Stephanie’s dream label represents the reserve wines produced by Yarraloch in the Yarra Valley.

The 2013 release will be somewhat polarising, it has had the kitchen sink thrown at it in terms of winemaking, there is considerable leesy complexity and plenty of spicy oak.

The nose gives plenty of gun flint alongside aromatic stone fruits. The palate has seen plenty of work with rich flinty nougat influences throughout. The wine has just enough acidity to contrast the fuller leesy characters, bright white peach frames the mid to back palate and lingering wood spice dominates the finish.

A very big new world chardonnay.
