Review Detail
2013 Oakridge Local Vineyard Series Guerin Vineyard Chardonnay
Wine Rating
94
Oakridge continue to craft a number of exceptional Chardonnay’s from single vineyards in the Yarra Valley, the wines consistently show quality of site and a distinct winemaking style that is ‘less is more’ in it’s youth and continues to grow in stature over time.
The nose gives fig and nectarine with flashes of white peach and background oak influences. The wine is certainly a textural experience with piercing mineral acidity against green edged nectarine, wood spice; vanillin influences work in harmony alongside the citrus driven finish.
