Chardonnay February 24, 2016
2015 Bress Silver Chook Macedon Chardonnay
Wine Rating

94
2015 is shaping as a very good year, this Chardonnay from Bress in no exception being a sub $30 Chardonnay from the Macedon Ranges that gives great interest now, but also setup to really impress with a year or so in the bottle.

The wine is a light yellow in the glass, the nose has wood spice and touch of vanillin, touch of mealy richness and citrus

A taut and tightly bound palate at this time of it’s development with stone fruits benefiting from a fine sheath of oak that gives complexity but doesn’t overwhelm the pristine nectarine fruit. Great acidity and lingering flinty stone fruits to finish.

Will be very good in years to come.
