Review Detail
2014 Punt Road Chardonnay
Wine Rating
92
A light yellow in the glass, this certainly has plenty of winemaker derived complexity with flinty oak and brioche notes to go alongside expressive stone fruits. The wine has good structure, it’s a medium to full bodied Chardonnay but manages to maintain a baseline of slate acidity that contrasts the fuller stone fruit, lees and oak inputs. The wine finishes with a menage of oak, fruit and precise acidity.
