Review Detail
2014 Woodlands Chloe Chardonnay
Wine Rating
91
The Chloe is the reserve release from Woodlands, stylistically it sits well alongside the 14’ Estate release and shows a little bit more structure with new oak and generous lees stirring giving depth and mouthfeel. The nose provides flint and youthful peach alongside honeyed tropical notes that will fade over time in the bottle. The palate has well handled acidity and a full mouthfeel that is accentuated by creamy lees inputs and wood spice. The finish is tightly bound and will slowly unfurl over time.
This is a Chardonnay that needs a good few years to show it’s full potential.
