Review Detail
2016 Lane’s End Cottage Chardonnay
Wine Rating
91
A vibrant, fruit driven expression of Chardonnay that has less winemaker derived characters than the Estate Chardonnay, but doesn’t miss out in terms of both flavour and textural appeal.
Nectarine, fig, pear and touches of citrus define the nose, the palate has generous richness on entry that is all about the fruit with green apple against fuller nectarine fruit, there is a lovely interplay between acid and fruit that helps frame the lingering finish that is brimming with citrus, fig and stone fruits.
A wine to enjoy whilst awaiting the Estate release.
