2009 Wightwick Chardonnay
Wine Rating
94
Straw yellow in colour, the nose is rich with fig and melon aromas, the palate is long and complex with stone fruits running throughout. The finish shows good varietal fruit of ripe nectarine, some slight citrus as well as excellent oak integration. There is acid present on the finish that adds to the wine rather than detracting, holding it in good stead in terms of time in the cellar.
