2015 Churchview Estate The Bartondale Chardonnay
(Updated: April 05, 2017)
Wine Rating

94
The Bartondale is the reserve release from Churchview that's sourced from old vine Chardonnay and showcases great fruit and winemaking technique. The wine was barrel fermented using wild yeast and aged for 12 months prior to bottling.

A light yellow in the glass, the nose gives white peach and nectarine with flashes of lemon zest and fig. The palate is medium to full bodied with generous stone fruits given an almond meal richness, meyer lemon adds interest and a taut contrast in the lead up to the generous, mouth filling finish.
