2016 Tomich Hill Winemakers Reserve Chardonnay
Wine Rating

90
Picked at two levels of ripeness to retain freshness, fermented with wild east and aged in French Oak for 12 months the wine is a youthful but curvaceous expression of new world chardonnay that will continue to grow in stature over the short to medium term.

A light yellow in the glass, the nose is elemental at this point in it’s development with creamy stone fruits, fig and mealy oak inputs just starting to come together.

A medium to full bodied Chardonnay with generous palate weight and mouth feel, a buttery and creamy edge to the stone fruits is nicely contrasted by green apple flavours and citrusy acidity. To finish there some subtle almond meal notes.
