Review Detail
2016 Plantagenet York Chardonnay
Wine Rating
92
A lightly golden yellow in the glass, the nose is awash with melon, candied peach, pickled ginger and floral notes.
The palate continues in the same thread as the nose with a pristine representation of melon fruit with an undertone of more tropical fruits and a fine weave of ginger spice that adds a textural dimension to the wine. The finish has focus and touch of oatmeal flare with citrus and melon lingering.
Will certainly reward time.
