Review Detail
2016 Angullong A Range Chardonnay
Wine Rating
91
Angullong continue their run of quality releases from the cool climate growing region of Orange in NSW.
This Chardonnay is elegant, subtle and moreish with a nose that is more citrus than stone fruits and rounded out by a touch of fig.
The palate opens with a continuation of citrus that gives gives an understated and lean structure from which subtle stone fruits and a light touch of vanillin oak provide breadth. The finish has a suggestion of barrel induced complexity but at this point it is folded in amongst citrus and taut stone fruit.
Will benefit further from time in bottle.
