Chardonnay July 11, 2017
2015 Williams Crossing Chardonnay
Wine Rating

91
The Williams Crossing wines are made in the same was as the Curly Flat label with a final barrel selection deciding the composition of the labels. There is consistent value that can be found with Williams Crossing at sub $30 with wines that typically support medium term cellaring.

A lightly golden yellow in the glass, a varietal and well defined nose of white nectarine that’s supported by understated wood smoke notes. There is plenty of mineral drive to the wine which speaks volumes of it’s cool climate roots and ability to age. The mineral notes are built on by tightly bound stone fruits, and a finish that enjoys some blanched almond like richness.

This is a wine that will undoubtedly benefit from time.
