Review Detail
2015 Hesket Estate Chardonnay
Wine Rating
91
Hesket Estate are a small producer nestled in the heart of the Macedon Ranges with a beautiful vineyard site and unwavering focus on viticultural excellence.
The wine gives a lightly golden yellow in the glass, with the nose giving worked lees and barrel induced richness to stone fruits and the faintest touch of corn.
The palate has an almond meal like note with touches of flint to plush white peach and melon fruit. The acidity is well handled and gives focus and drive whilst also keeping the wines richer components in balance. The finish is generous and lingers with white peach and flashes of brioche.
