Review Detail
2016 Stable Hill Cremello Chardonnay
Wine Rating
88
Another eclectic label from Stable Hill, reading more like a comic than a wine label ! A light yellow in the glass with a nose of underripe nectarine and fig.
A lean and taut wine with a tropical edge to stone fruits and a chalky almost mineral line of acidity that gives good textural contrast to the wines more worked winemaker derived characters. The finish is well defined with stone fruits meeting lemon shortbread.
