Review Detail
2016 Robert Stein Mudgee Reserve Chardonay
Wine Rating
96
A beguiling nose with fig, nougat and stone fruits with flashes of wood smoke.
The palate is steeped in new season nectarine with great purity and length, there is a creaminess to the wine with a subtleness of oak that lifts rather than dominates the fruit. The finish is an exercise in elegance with spice, mealy richness and tantalising acidity interjecting a baseline of stone fruits.
Another exceptional white from Robert Stein.
