2016 Ten Minutes by Tractor Judd Chardonnay
Wine Rating

96
Produced from the P58 Chardonnay clone grown on the Poplar Block in the Judd vineyard, the wine was fermented using wild yeast, with partial malolactic fermentation (80%) and ageing in 17% new French Oak barrels.

The wine gives a light yellow in the glass with decadent white peach, brioche and youthful candied apple notes. The impact of barrel ferment gives the most subtle of sulphide inputs adds considerable interest.

This is a full bodied wine that enjoys the richness of fruit provided by the vintage, with stone fruits wrapped up in a buttery, mealy melange. There is an emphatically pure line of acid that gives structure with wood induced spice working well with tighter nectarine to finish.
