Review Detail
2017 Byron and Harold Wheelabout Chardonnay
Wine Rating
91
The Wheelabout focuses more on fruit than it does on winemaker intervention and showcases generous stone fruits and melon with the characteristic balance that comes from Chardonnay produced from the Margaret River region.
The nose is primary with nectarine, fig and understated nutty characters. The palate is medium to full bodied with a texture that builds over time. Stone fruits are met with citrus and a touch of grapefruit to finish. A well made wine that will evolve over the coming years.
