Review Detail
2017 Sidewood Estate Chardonnay
Wine Rating
93
Whole bunched pressed and aged on lees in French Oak. This is a cracking Chardonnay for the price.
There is characteristic depth of stone fruits and citrus flare that comes from quality Adelaide Hills fruit, with time in oak and on lees giving texture and richness.
White peach frames the palate with a citrus laced backdrop that also has a tinge of apple. Stone fruits and blanched almonds are on full show to finish; time is sure to tease out even more texture and expression. Impressive value.
