As with the estate, the nose is quite restrained and subtle, with citrus and a little sour edged nectarine fruit evident. The palate is elegant, and shows good complexity with citrus fruit combining well with the complex influences of the oak. The finish shows tremendous length and balanced acidity. It looks as if Kooyong with this and their other 08 Chardonnay's are moving to a more restrained and elegant style.
