Review Detail
2017 Credaro 1000 Crowns Chardonnay
Wine Rating
94
The quality of the wines from Credaro continue to rise, this is a very good Margaret River release that combines elegance and power into a wine that can be found at a tick under $50 and is well worth it.
There are precise flint notes to stone fruits that sit alongside understated brioche and fig aromatics on the nose. The palate opens with raw cashew that’s washed with citrus laden stone fruits and shows great lines. Oak has impact of spice with a grippy almond meal texture that adds an embellishment to driving white peach to finish.
Watch this evolve over the medium term.
