Review Detail
2018 Three Elms Tiimbertops Chardonnay
Wine Rating
92
The Timbertops range represents both value and some very good winemaking technique. As a 2018 release this is quite a complete wine, but has plenty of development ahead.
A light yellow in the glass, there is a litheness of oak impact with stone fruits that are lifted by citrus tones. The wine shows its youth in terms of acidity with a moreish thread from which meyer lemon and new season nectarine make themselves known. Oak gives an embellishment of spice and there is a suggestion of brioche richness that will grow in stature over the coming years.
