Review Detail
2018 Thompson Estate Chardonnay
Wine Rating
92
A wine that shows a lot of promise and waiting for some time bottle to really show itself. The nose is youthful with a slight tropical edge before citrus and stone fruits show themselves and fine lines of vanilla and flint have impact.
The wine has impressive structure with a fullness of white peach and nectarine that’s cut through by citrus and Meyer lemon. The mid palate enjoys understated brioche notes and lemon curd frame before a grapefruit like grip and stone fruits define the finish.
