Review Detail
2018 Oakridge Yarra Valley Chardonnay
Wine Rating
92
Wild yeast fermented and aged on lees for 9 months. The nose is a mix of white peach, struck match and flint that is well beyond the wines price point of $30.
The palate has impressive balance with fruit, impact of lees, oak and balanced acidity. There is an almond meal richness that works well against the wines more driving citrus notes with just enough reductive flint like flare to give genuine interest to finish.
