Wine Rating

95
There were only two barrels made as a tribute to ’Nanna Olive’ the wine has seen 50% new oak and returned the favour with a compelling wine that melds quality fruit and the fineries only new oak can provide.

The nose shines with white peach and almond meal backed by a smokiness and subtle brioche. The palate is medium to full bodied, with a wonderful texture that shows considered acidity and the secondary tannin characteristics that a come from new oak and time on lees. Stone fruits are expansive on the mid palate with brioche and nutty nuances completing the picture before the finish shows vibrant acidity and lingering spice. Incredible value given the scarcity and winemaking approach.
