Review Detail
2019 Bobar Chardonnay
Wine Rating
92
The yarra valley has delivered a wine that could have passed through Chablis and Jura on the way through with a saline and oyster shell thread from the former and a faint, nutty almost oxidative note from the latter.
The wine gives plenty of texture with a fullness to citrus fruits with an edge of lemon zest. Stone fruits give the wine a creamier disposition on the mid palate before driving, mineral acidity frames the finish. A finely chiseled wine with a long future ahead.
