Review Detail
2018 Austin’s Chardonnay
Wine Rating
95
A light to golden yellow in colour, with a nose that contrasts stone fruits with worked winemaker induced richness and impact of tight grain vanillin oak. There is an elegance to the wine that comes partly from the 12.6 % alcohol, which affords a precise and taut backbone of acidity and grapefruit like texture that is contrasted by almond meal and nectarine. There is an understated elegance to the wine that will ensure plenty of future development.
