Review Detail
2019 Seville Estate Reserve Chardonnay
Wine Rating
96
The reserve release from Seville Estate is always a barrel selection, which would have been a tough job given the quality of the 2019 vintage.
The nose gives tightly focused citrus with with a build of white peach, underripe fig and reductive flint. The palate is an exercise in precision and focused fruit; there is a driving line of lemony acidity that is softened by a weave of stone fruits that are interjected by oak derived spice. The finish flows with just ripe nectarine and white grapefruit with this release one to enjoy for decades
