Henty is a region that doesn't get the focus of some of the other cool climate sites in Victoria, but consistently produces some of the most elegant and ageworthy Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Noir from Victoria. The 2019 release from Henty Farm is so precise and pure, with a very long future ahead. The wine is a light yellow in the glass with a nose of lemon and white peach alongside flint and gentle spice.

The wine is built around a citrus core, speaking to the cool climate the grapes were grown; nectarine and a touch wood smoke give dimension to the mid palate before a subtle build of mealy richness to finish, with the length excellent.
