Review Detail
2016 Sirromet Signature Collection Chardonnay
Wine Rating
90
A golden yellow in the glass, the wine had a mix of barrel, tank and amphora fermentation as well as partial malolactic, the result is a vibrant and interesting wine that is much about winemaker influence as it is the grape.
The aromatics focus on white peach with a touch of flint and creamy oak overtones. The palate sees stone fruits taking on a citrus edge initially with a chalky texture and constant of vanillin spice being a constant before a return of spice laden stone fruits on the broad finish.
