Review Detail
2021 Sidewood Chardonnay
Wine Rating
91
A perennial favourite when it comes to value for money, the 2021 has delivered again
A light to golden yellow with the nose having concentration of white peach that is accentuated by fresh noughat and flinty wood spice. The palate holds a tension between citrus and stone fruits which when combined with the mealy richness from time in barrel gives a striking contrast and textural complexity.
The finish focuses on primary stone fruits and leaner lines of citrus, with the wine set to evolve and build over the next few years.
