Review Detail
2021 Lane’s End Cottage Chardonnay
Wine Rating
90
A nose that is Chablis like with a mineral aspect to nectarine alongside citrus fruits and honeyed fig.
The palate has drive of citrus with a lovely litheness of acidity that gives zest and verve. Fruit focuses on citrus and apple initially before richer stone fruits take hold with the slightest mealy influence. To finish there is a crushed rock like minerality and a return of the honeyed characters seen on the nose.
Will grow and evolve with a few years in bottle.
