2010 Soumah of Yarra Valley Chardonnay
Wine Rating
94
Light yellow in colour, the nose has butterscotch and ripe peach skins. The fruit is persistent, the avid balanced and the oak influences subtle and well managed. On the palate there is nectarine and fig, that is more savoury than rich, there are layers of complexity in the mid to back palate that provide a wonderful mouth feel. The finish is long and has developed buttery notes and will continue to evolve over the next 2 – 4 years. A superb first release.
