Review Detail
2008 Yabby Lake Chardonnay
(Updated: October 29, 2014)
Wine Rating
96
A light straw yellow in colour, the nose is attractive and complex with peach, nectarine, understated brioche and gun flint aromas.
The palate shows everything one looks for in an exceptional Chardonnay; there are layers of stone fruits and hints of citrus that are backed by toasty oak influences and a mineral acidity that frames the concentrated fruit.
The finish has leesy characters of brioche and toasted almond that are perfectly contrasted by crisp acidity, the wonderful mouth feel remains long after the final sip.
