Review Detail
2005 Kooyonga Chapel Winery Chardonnay
Wine Rating
94
A developed light yellow in colour, the nose is perfectly proportioned with gun flint, ripe nectarine and fig characters.
The wine shows great balance and poise, walking a tightrope between ripe stone fruits, mineral acidity and richer leesy characters.
The stone fruits on the palate have a toasted almond complexity that moves towards butterscotch on the long concentrated finish. In terms of price to quality ratio this wine is excellent value.
