Review Detail
2009 Eleven Paddocks Yarra Valley Chardonnay
(Updated: July 21, 2011)
Wine Rating
90
Light to straw yellow in colour, the nose has ripe nectarine and a touch of fig that is given a subtle lift by sweeter vanillin oak.
The palate is well rounded and shows mouth filling melon to start before moving towards more savoury fig , with oak derived spice adding to the wines complexity.
The back palate has a citrus acidity that fades towards melon that lingers in the mouth, the wine is in it's youth and will continue to develop richer secondary characters over the next 3 to 4 years.
