Review Detail
2008 By Farr Chardonnay
(Updated: August 17, 2011)
Wine Rating
94
A medium yellow in colour, it's an interesting exercise sitting the by Farr next to the Farr Rising Chardonnay, both show lovely stonefruit characters on the nose , with the elder statesman having more pronounced oak and butterscotch character.
The palate has richness and balance with fig and nectarine combining with lees derived brioche flavours. There is a seam of citrus acidity that provides texture and contrast keeping the wine nimble and focused. The finish has savoury spice and excellent length.
