Chardonnay August 22, 2011
2009 Penley Estate Aradia Chardonnay
Wine Rating

90
Lightly golden in colour, the nose shows considerable but well handled oak inputs that combine with ripe peach skins.

The palate is heavily worked and has a luxurious and decadent feel. There is a lot of spicy vanillin oak and lees derived richness, the wine has a good amount of acidity and depth of melon and peach fruits to in part counteract the richness.

The finish is firm, the wine will be at it's best over the next 1 - 3 years.
