Chardonnay August 22, 2011
2009 Punters Corner Chardonnay
Wine Rating
Light yellow in colour, as with many Coonawarra Chardonnays a high level of winemakers influence is present in terms of pronounced oak and well worked fig and nectarine on the nose.

The wine draws heavily on extended lees contact and a proportion of new oak inputs, adding spice and complexity to the stone fruit and underlying citrus tinged palate.

The finish has good balance and length and will reward a few years in the cellar.
