Sourced from the Ferguson valley, the wine is varietal, has great concentration and above all makes you want to go back for another sip with an earthen and saline thread to bright red berry fruits the variety is known for.
The nose has a touch of funk with dark cherry and raspberry fruit having a cured meat and sage like edges, the palate has bright acidity and textural tannin that gives youthfulness to the fruit with some older leather to dark berry fruits to finish.
This wine is somewhat of a revelation to me.
