Gewurtztraminer is often drank young, but this cool climate example shows what it is capable of with a little bit of age. The nose enjoys musk with some candied tropical fruits, namely lychee. There is fruit sweetness against a backdrop of bone dry, almost slate like acidity; citrus zest, bitter orange and cumquat give length and savoury texture. A wine that has definitely lost some of its primary fruits but developed into a very interesting drink with age.
