2010 Ochota Barrels The Fugazi Vineyard Grenache
Wine Rating

93
The 2010 Ochota Barrels release is a distinctive one, exhibiting subtlety and structure that is not always shown by the variety. The wine itself comes from 63 year old bush vines that are dry grown in McLaren Vale.

The colour is more reminiscent of a pinot, with a light to medium red hue, the nose has aromatic cherry, touches of wood smoke and stem that play off each other well, on the palate the wine balances youthful red berry fruit, taught, texture driving acidity, complex oak and savoury notes.

The wine finishes with excellent length of savoury red cherry and will undoubtedly flourish with time in the cellar.
