Review Detail
2006 Yelland & Papps Old Vine Grenache
Wine Rating
89
A medium red with slightly browning hues towards the rim, the nose shows aged leathery characters that are backed by sweeter primary fruits and vanillin oak.
The wine gives up front raspberry and cherry that gains spice and olive characters on the mid to back palate. The tannins are broad and drying and work well with the thick red fruits, abundance of spice and youthful acid on the finish.
