Review Detail
2015 Alkimi ‘The Good Earth Grenache Noir
Wine Rating
91
Produced from the Camelback Vineyard in Heathcote and treated like a Pinot in it’s production this wine shows elegance and subtlety whilst carrying it’s 14.5% alcohol effortlessly.
The wine is a bright reflective red in the glass, the nose gives generous spice but is light on its feet, the palate has a line of spice running through wild strawberry and blueberry fruit. The finish has textural acidity and a fine mouth coating sensation that is one part fine tannin, the other part subtle spice.
