2015 Willunga 100 The Hundred Blewitt Springs Grenache
Wine Rating

93
A beautiful light cherry red in the glass that you could mistake for Pinot Noir from the colour, the wine is made from 80 year old vines and un-oaked which provides a unique opportunity to see what unadorned old vine fruit can do.

The nose is defined by dark cherry that combines with floral rose petals and touches of boot polish. There is a liveliness to this wine that carries it from start to finish with vibrant yet balanced acidity working amounts bright primary fruits and more stalky and savoury notes that give breadth and contrast to the mid palate. The finish combines floral cherry fruit, juicy acidity and drying tannins.

This will continue to evolve well over the medium term.
